From earthquakes to floods to wildfires, when there’s a disaster in the United States, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is on the front lines working to help the public during and after the emergency. Unlike other types of degree programs, there is not a college accreditation agency that reviews emergency management programs specifically. However, students can still take advantage of the quality assurance checks that accreditation provides by making sure a school holds institutional accreditation by either a national or regional accrediting organization.
